Also be advised the due date and time for receipt of Proposals has changed to allow for more time to respond to additional questions. It is anticipated that Addendum #2 will be issued by August 26, 2005. Proposals are now due no later than Monday, September 12, 2005 at 2 PM. Qi: How many vendors was the RFLI sent to, and can you provide the names? A 1 : See attached list of those vendors the City notified. Q2: Per the Scope of Work, Section II (2), since this is a City sign and on City property, will the City assist or help expedite the permit process? A2: The Trust staff will assist but it will be the responsibility of the Successful Proposer to pull the necessary permit(s) and pay for same. Q3: Per the Scope of Work, Section II (9), this should be subject to obtaining permits. Will that be the case and will the Trust authorize a delay in installation? A3: if the permitting process is delayed, consequently the installation will be delayed. Q4: Per the Scope of Work, Section II (4), what is the maximum size sign the City will allow? A4: There is no maximum size per the RFLI, and firms are to propose sign(s) that are at least the same size if not greater, and would be appropriate for that location. Q5: Please advise what type of ads will not be allowed on the sign. Also, will there be any problems due to City contracts with soft drink companies or any off -premise stores or products not sold Bayside Marketplace? A5: Bayfront Park and Bayside Marketplace are two separate entities. Currently, the Bayfront Park Management Trust does not have any sponsorship agreements that would pose a conflict of interest. Qb: Regarding insurance, please clarify whether the certificate is to be provided with response or after award. A6: No, the insurance certificate is not required at this time. All forms, including 6.3 insurance Requirements, are to be completed and returned with Response. Form 6.3 depicts the insurance requirements that will be required of a firm should it be awarded the contract. Q7: Are any type(s) of diagrams or designs required to be submitted with the Proposal? A7: Pursuant to the RFLI, Section XVII (E) Submission Requirements, the following information, in part, is to be submitted in Proposal: "Describe your overall Technical Solution and Approach Addendum # /: City of Miami Marquee Sign fir liav%ront Pc,rk RFLI il04-05-fl98 to meet the needs of the Trust. Include a detailed description of the Marquee Sign, with diagrams and photos. Discuss the brand, model and manufacturer of the Marquee including durability, lighting, ease -of -use and updates..." Be advised the Trust reserves the right during contract negotiations with the Successful Proposer to negotiate the actual Marquee Sign to be installed. Q8: Should the electronic sign have the capability of text, graphic and animation or text, graphic, animation and/or video or live video files? What is the display content? A8: Proposers are free to propose signs that are more technically advanced than the current sign. The RFLI is seeking a Proposal from a firm to provide a Marquee Sign for Bayfront Park. Proposals from firms will be evaluated based upon the evaluation criteria reflected within the RFLI. Firms are allowed to propose various types of signs as part of their submission, per Section XV, Evaluation Criteria and XVI (E) Submission Requirements and your Technical Solution. Q9: What is the size of characters to be displayed? 6", 7", 3", 9", 12", 15", 22"...etc.? What is the display color? Single red, single amber, tri (red, amber, green), or full colors? A9: The RFLI is seeking a Proposal from a firm to provide a Marquee Sign for Bayfront Park. Proposals from firms will be evaluated based upon the evaluation criteria reflected within the RFLI. Firms are allowed to propose various types of signs as part of their submission, per Section XV, Evaluation Criteria and XVI (E) Submission Requirements and your Technical Solution. Proposers are also encouraged to visit Bayfront Park prior to the due date to view the current marquee sign to be replaced. - Q10: Is the Successful Proposer required to have business and/or license in the state of Florida? Can this proposer be operating in the state of California, but with a subcontractor (for installations) in Florida? A10: Proposers and/or its subcontractors must be a legal entity and properly licensed to conduct business in the State of Florida.
