HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-07-0674City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-07-0674 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 07-01391 Final Action Date: 12/13/2007 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE FUND ENTITLED: "2007-2008 ALLIANCE FOR HUMAN SERVICES GRANT," AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $34,000, CONSISTING OF A GRANT AWARD FROM THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES, ALLIANCE FOR HUMAN SERVICES, TO PROVIDE OUTREACH, INFORMATION, REFERRAL, ASSESSMENT, AND PLACEMENT SERVICES TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS WITHIN THE CITY OF MIAMI; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT THE ACCEPTANCE OF SAID GRANT AWARD. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following Special Revenue Fund is established and resources are appropriated as described below: FUND TITLE: 2007-2008 Alliance for Human Services Grant RESOURCES: Miami -Dade County Department of Human Services, $34,000 Alliance for Human Services APPROPRIATIONS: Outreach, information, referral, assessment, and placement services $34,000 to homeless individuals within the City of Miami Section 2. The appropriation is contingent upon the receipt of the grant from the Miami -Dade County Department of Human Services, Alliance for Human Services and the City Manager's acceptance. Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the necessary documents, in substantially the attached form, in order to implement the acceptance of said grant award. Section 4. This authorization shall remain valid and outstanding even if the grant award is reduced or increased. Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 07-01391 (Version: 1) Printed On: 4/20/2017 File Number: 07-01391 Enactment Number: R-07-0674 Footnotes: {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
