Purpose of Item: Exercise renewal option for contract with HDR Engineering, Inc. to continue providing program management services for implementation of the City's Capital Improvement Plan. Background Information: Resolution No. 07-0413, adopted July 10, 2007, authorized six months of a one year option to renew the contract with HDR Engineering, Inc. to provide Program Management Services to the Department of Capital Improvements and Transportation ("Department"). The resolution further required that the Department must return to the Commission at the conclusion of the initial six months to seek authorization to exercise renewals for the balance of the one year option. The Department is pleased with the work being provided and wishes to exercise a renewal option for the next three months and further seeks authorization for the City Manager to administratively exercise the renewal options for one month periods for the final three months, subject to continued satisfactory performance. The fee of $4,139,876.71 for these services was previously approved for the full one year extension and therefore there is no budgetary impact with this item. The Department is currently soliciting proposals for the Capital Program Support Services and Transportation Program Support Services to replace the existing HDR Program Management contract.
