Subject: Approve contract with Weekley Concrete and Asphalt for miscellaneous construction services
for the repair, maintenance & installation of road way systems throughout the City.
Purpose of Item:
Approve contract with Weekley Concrete and Asphalt to provide miscellaneous roadway repairs and
construction services citywide as needed in an amount not to exceed $2.000,000 with funding to be
identified as needP ] per project.
Background Information:
Broward County issued Bid No. HZ-05376-B1 for the procurement of general roadway construction
services. Weekley Concrete and Asphalt was awarded the contract. The City desires the same services
to be available as needed citywide and would like to utilize the Broward agreement with Weekley.
Pursuant to Section 18-111 of the City Code, the City may utilize competitively bid contracts from
other government agencies to fulfill our procurement needs. This ability to "piggyback" is one of the
tools the Capital Improvements Department is utilizing to increase our efficiency and improve the
overall production delivery timeframe.
