HomeMy WebLinkAboutPlanning AnalysisPLANNING DEPARTMENT ANALYSIS Case No. 211f6-0!O57ac CLOSING, VACATING, ABANDONING AND DISCONTINUING FOR PUBLIC USE THE ALLEY LOCATED ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF NORTHEAST 17th TERRACE BETWEEN BISCAYNE BOULEVARD AND NORTHEAST 4th AVENUE. Pursuant to Section 5515 (c) of the Miami City Code, thePlanning Department has reviewed the proposed public right-of-way- vacation and closure to determine whether it is its the a l.ic interest, or whether the general. public would benefit from the vacation of the of- -ay. The following findings have been made: • It is found that this application was presented to the Plat and Street Corn.mittee and the tentative Plat was approved with conditions. (See attached analysis • It is found that the vacation of the alley will allow a unified development site. • It is found that the closure of the abandoned alley will not affect any public or emergency access or any service activities. s It is found that the proposed easement vacation comply with Section 55-15 (c) of the Miami City Code for public benefit since the proposal will not affect the core service activities. • It is found that the applicant is offering a voluntary contribution (see attached letter from applicant) to be used in order to provide public benefit in the surrounding neighborhood. Based on these findings, the Planning Department recommends approval of the request.
