The Little Havana Homeownership Advisory Board shall exercise the powers and duties for the
Little Havana Community Revitalization District for the geographical areas bounded by the Miami
River on the north, 4th Avenue on the east, S.W. 8 Street on the south, and 17th Avenue on the
west. The board, in cooperation with the City Manager and City depaitinents, shall be responsible
for advice, oversight, and facilitation of the City's revitalization efforts for the redevelopment of
the Little Havana Community Revitalization District in a manner consistent with the strategy
identified in the Five Year Consolidated Plan, adopted by the City Commission in August, 1999.
Seven (7) appointments are needed at this time:
• Vice Chairman Sanchez has seven (7) appointments to be confirmed by the City
Commission, including one member to be appointed to the public advocate seat.
1. Carlos Lacassa, incumbent, whose term expires November 13, 2007.
2. Frank Martinez, incumbent, whose term expires November 13, 2007.
3. Ariadne Marko, incumbent, whose term expires November 13, 2007.
4. Carmen Fanego, incumbent, whose term expires November 13, 2007.
5. Cecilia la Villa Travieso, incumbent, whose term expires November 13, 2007.
6. Vacancy, due to the resignation of W. Robert Smith.
7. Vacancy, due to the resignation of Milli Membiela.
By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the
November 9, 2007 Commission agenda.
