Thompson City Clerk Date: October 26, 2007 Subject: Code Enforcement Board References: November 9, 2007 Agenda Enclosures: List of members The Code Enforcement Board was created to issue orders having the force of law commanding whatever steps are necessary to bring a Code violation into compliance. Florida Statutes Section 162.05(2) requires members of the Code Enforcement Board to be residents of the City of Miami. City Code Section 2-812 states that whenever possible, the board is to consist of an architect, a businessperson, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor, and a realtor. One (1) appointment is needed at this time: • Commission -at -Large has one (1) nomination for an alternate -at -large seat. • Oscar Rodriguez -Fonts, incumbent and whose term expires March 7, 2010, has exceeded the number of allowed absences (4 in 2007) and requires a 4/5ths waiver of attendance. For your convenience, we have included a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the November 9, 2007 Commission agenda.
