Purpose of Item: rIt is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopts the attached Resolution authorizing a two level pedestrian overpass over and across SE 14 Lane, a public street, between the Four Seasons Tower and Hotel located at 1441 Brickell Avenue and a proposed new office building located at 1451 Brickell Avenue. Background Information: Millennium Partners, the owners of the Four Seasons Tower and Hotel located at 1441 Brickell Avenue plan to construct a new office building at 1451 Brickell Avenue and have requested authorization to connect the third and fourth levels of the two buildings with a two level pedestrian only overpass over and across SE 14 Lane, a public street. The pedestrian overpass connection will allow visitors of the office building to utilize the parking garage located within the Four Seasons Tower and patrons of the Four Seasons to utilize the proposed office building Sports Club without exiting the buildings onto the public street.
