PETITION An Ordinance amending Ordinance 11000, by amending Article
6, Section 606 concerning the SD-6, 6.1 Central Commercial
Residential Districts in order to permit public storage facilities as
adaptive re -use of existing buildings by Class II Special Permit
and Section 615 concerning SD-15 River Quadrant Mixed -Use
District in order to permit public storage facilities by Class II
Special Permit; and in order to amend the affordable housing
trust fund contribution; containing a repealer provision, a
severability clause, and providing for an effective date.

BACKGROUND AND
ANALYSIS
This will amend the Zoning Ordinance to allow for public storage
facilities conditionally in SD-6, 6.1 Central Commercial
Residential District as adaptive re -use of existing buildings only;
and within the SD-15 River Quadrant Mixed -Use District by
Class II Special Permit, excluding ground floor street frontages.
This amendment also includes a change in the contribution for
the affordable housing trust fund in order to match the amount
contributed for the rest of the city (from $6.67 per square foot to
$12.40 per square foot).
