Femanoz : it ttorney DATE: September 18`,` 007 ., �' RE: Proposed Ordinance `for September 27, 2007, City Commission Meeting - Amending Chapter 18, entitled "Finance," to require that only City employees prepare public procurement documents. (File 07- 01088a) The proposed ordinance based on the directive from Vice Chairman, Joe Sanchez and unanimously approved by the City Commission, reflects the City Commission's desire to maintain credibility and integrity in the public procurement process. If approved, Article III, § 18-84 will be amended to require that all public procurement documents must be prepared by City employee(s) and if not prepared by City employee(s), non -City employee(s) who participated in the preparation of such document will be banned from competing for the award of any contract resulting from such process.
