A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ("DEP") NO. CZ613 AGREEMENT TO
REINSTATE, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, WITH DEP, IN ORDER
TO REINSTATE AND TO FURTHER AMEND DEP AGREEMENT NO. CZ613, AS
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN "EXHIBIT B," ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED, FOR THE BAYWALK DESIGN OF THE PUBLIC BOAT RAMP
LOCATED ON WATSON ISLAND, MIAMI, FLORIDA ("PROJECT"), TO EXTEND THE
COMPLETION AND REIMBURSEMENT DATE OF THE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, in October, 2004, the City of Miami ("City") submitted a proposal to the Florida
Department of Environmental Protection ("DEP") under the Coastal Zone Management Program
Grant Program requesting $50,000, to aid in funding the construction of the public boat ramp Baywalk
on Watson Island, Miami, Florida ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, the City was awarded the grant in April, 2005 pursuant to a Grant Agreement (the
"Grant Agreement"), in the amount of $50,000, with a cash match in the amount of $50,000, to be
provided by the Miami Parking Authority; and
WHEREAS, due to design modifications imposed by the Department of Environmental Resource
Management, construction could not be completed by the original September 30, 2006 deadline, the
City authorized an extension pursuant to Resolution No. 06-0595 adopted on October 12, 2006, and
the City and DEP entered into DEP Agreement No. CZ613 Agreement to Reinstate the Grant
Agreement on November 7, 2006; and
WHEREAS, due to further redesign requirement delays, DEP agreed to reinstate the Grant
Agreement and to further extend the expiration of the grant to May 31, 2008, in order to continue the
scope of work and to fund the Project design for the Baywalk;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute DEP Agreement No. CZ613 Agreement
to Reinstate, in substantially the attached form, with the DEP, in order to reinstate and to further
amend DEP Agreement Number CZ613, as more particularly described in "Exhibit B," attached and
incorporated, for the baywalk design of the PROJECT, to extend the completion and reimbursement
date of the Project.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of

the Mayor.{2}
Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
