Request to Use City Hall For Early
Voting Site — 2007 Elections
ENCLOSURES: (1)
The Office of the City Clerk is requesting consideration for early voting for the general
municipal election scheduled for November 6, 2007 for Commission Districts 1, 2, and 4.
Florida Stature §101.657(e) enables municipalities to provide early voting in municipal
elections that are not held in conjunction with county or state elections. A municipality may
designate as many sites as necessary and shall conduct its activities providing that
• Electors are allowed to vote early in main or branch offices of the supervisor of
elections, public libraries and/or city halls;
• The supervisor shall designate each early voting site by no later than the 30th day
prior to an election and shall designate an early voting area at each early voting site; and
• All early voting sites shall be open on the same days for the same amount of time
and shall allow any person in line at the closing of an early voting site to vote.
The Office of the City Clerk in coordination with the Miami -Dade County Elections
Department has selected the following six (6) locations to utilize as early voting sites for the
upcoming election(s).

Please be advised that all City of Miami voters who are registered within Districts 1, 2,
and 4 will be able to vote at any of the early voting sites as the IVotronic machines will be
programmed with the same ballot style for each City of Miami commission district.
The sites are proposed to be opened for 1 week only from 7:00 A.M. to 7: P.M. during
the week of October 29-November 2 and from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M on Saturday and
Sunday November 3 and 4.
