HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 07-01107A Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE GENERAL EMPLOYEES' & SANITATION EMPLOYEES' EXCESS BENEFIT PLAN ("GESE EXCESS BENEFIT PLAN"), FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1,1 " 2007 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2008, IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $61,479, EXCLUDING THE ACTUARIALLY DETERMINED ANNUAL BENEFIT PAYMENT, TO PROVIDE FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE GESE EXCESS BENEFIT PLAN. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 40-265 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, the Board of Trustees is appointed as the committee to administer the City of Miami General Employees' & Sanitation Employees' Excess Benefit Plan ("GESE Excess Benefit Plan"); and WHEREAS, a budget is required to properly administer the GESE Excess Benefit Plan; and WHEREAS, the budget of the GESE Excess Benefit Plan for Fiscal Year 2007-2008 has been reviewed by the Board of Trustees of the GESE Excess Benefit Plan and found to be acceptable; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED' BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Annual Budget for the GESE Excess Benefit Plan, for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 2007 and ending September 30, 2008, attached and incorporated, in the amount not to exceed $61,479, excluding the actuarially determined annual benefit payment, to provide for the administration of the GESE Excess Benefit Plan, is approved and adopted. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JO'GE .
