HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-07-0555City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-07-0555 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 07-01244 Final Action Date: 9/27/2007 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DECLARING AN EXEMPTION FROM THE PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS CONTAINED IN SECTIONS 36-4(A) AND 36-5 (A) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, AS RELATED TO THE LEVEL AND HOURS OF NOISE RESULTING FROM THE GIRL POWER, THE BLOCKO 2007 AND SOCAFEST 2K7 EVENTS, FROM OCTOBER 4, 2007 TO OCTOBER 6, 2007, AT METROPOLIS NIGHT CLUB LOCATED AT 950 NORTHEAST 2ND AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS STATED HEREIN. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The exemption is declared from the prohibitions and restrictions contained in Sections 36-4(a) and 36-5 (a) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, as related to the level and hours of noise resulting from the Girl Power (10:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m), the Blocko 2007 (10:00 p.m.-4:00 a.m) and SocaFest 2K7 (10:00 p.m.-9:00 a.m.) events, from October 4, 2007 to October 6, 2007, at Metropolis Night Club located at 950 Northeast 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
