Hernandez City Manager, City of Miami 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, Florida 33133-5595 Dear Mr. Hernandez: Congratulations on your 2007/2008 Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant award. Each year the United States Department of Justice allocates a VOCA grant to Florida based on the availability of funds from federal court cases. Requests for the 2007/2008 grant year exceeded the availability of funds for the State of Florida. Due to the reduction of Florida's allocation, your 2007/2008 award is based on your current 2006/2007 grant application as approved by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG). If your grant award differs from your 2006/2007 allocation amount, you will need to submit the following: 1. A revised budget; 2. Revised Goals and Objectives; 3. Public agencies only: A signed original Supplanting Certification, (enclosed); 4. Signed original acknowledgment, (enclosed); All revisions must be submitted on the forms provided in the original grant application. These forms can also be downloaded from our website http://myfioridalegal.com/ under the heading of Crime Victims Services. The above items must be submitted to the Bureau of Advocacy and Grants Management no later than August 21, 2007. Once the revisions and documents have been approved, the VOCA agreement will be mailed to your agency. A VOCA Agreement will not be mailed to your agency until all the necessary revisions and documents are received and approved. I look forward to working with you during the coming year. Sincerely, (v12,c, Cynthia Rogers Vallely, Chief Bureau of Advocacy and Grants Management CRV/njg Enclosures cc: Financial Officer
