Subject: Resolution for an Agreement with the Department of Off Street Parking (DOSP) to Manage
and Operate Parking Services at the Orange Bowl Stadium.
Purpose of Item:
A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachments, authorizing the City Manager to enter
into an agreement with the Department of Off -Street Parking to manage and operate the parking lot
facilities servicing the Orange Bowl Stadium for a period of three (3) years with three (3) one year
renewal options, effective October 1, 2007; further providing that either party shall have the right to
terminate this agreement at any time by providing prior written notice to the other party.
Background Information:
The City of Miami owns the property known as the Orange Bowl Stadium and hosts numerous events
throughout the year at the venue. The Department of Public Facilities is seeking a reputable
company to manage and operate the parking facilities at this site. The Department of Off Street
Parking is experienced in providing parking services and is familiar with the Orange Bowl and its
operations during events. This agreement includes the same terms and conditions as the previous
agreement, in which DOSP shall receive five percent (5%) of gross revenues and an administrative fee
of two percent (2%) of gross revenues. Furthermore, either party shall have the right to terminate this
agreement at any time with sixty (60) days prior written notice.
