HomeMy WebLinkAboutSite ControllerMTC 3600 Site Controller MOTOROLA MTC 3600 Controllers are the central call processing equipment that use advanced PowerPC processing with compact PCI technology. MTC 3600 Contollers provide trunked operation in Single Site, Simulcast, Multi Site, and ASTRO° Trunked Radio Systems. When combined with other ASTRO® equipment, the MTC 3600 Controllers yield leading edge trunked radio operation, system management, and control. MTC 3600 has been developed to support the continuing life of 3600-baud rate control channel, trunking systems. While developing a functional replacement of the 6809-based SMARTNET central controller, we have enhanced the central controller in many ways. Some of those enhancements are as follows: ► Ease of software installation! MTC 3600 ships standard with Basic Enhancement and Test {-BETS) software for easy and convenient operating system and application software installation, and if necessary, re -installation. BETS, MTC 3600 operating system and system application software all ship on one CD-ROM. ► Ease of codeplug installation! MTC 3600 code plug information ships on a floppy disc and is installed through BETS software. ► Ease of expansion! MTC 3600 fully expanded to 28 channels remains in a 14" H x 14" D x 19" W card cage. With only one repeater interface card per 7 channels, upgrading is simple. ► Two Levels of Redundancy! The MTC 3600 ships standard with one power supply, however, a second power supply that slides into the MTC 3600 chassis can be ordered as an option. Or, MTC 3600 supports fully redundant controller configurations at both StandAlone single site systems and prime site locations in Simulcast configurations for a second level of redundancy. MTC 3600 Site Controller Channel Capacity Up to 28 channels with four possible control channels Dynamic Regrouping Allowing the creation of special talkgroups by reassigning individual radios Push to Talk ID Display Continually monitoring radio users on all active channels by displaying the ID's on the Console Logging Allowing view and print system traffic information containing all call processing activities SmartNet ASTRO"' Secure Transmissions can be protected from unauthorized monitoring with digital encryption methods Group Calls MTC 3600 supports Talkgroup Calls, Multi -group Calls, and System Calls. System Flexibility MTC 3600 Controllers can be used in a variety of configurations, integrated with Motorola sub -systems, and integrated with ASTRO® equipment to provide flexibility. General Specifications System Manager Terminal (SMT) Accessible directly through a PC or Motorola's SMT Access network management tool. Storm Plans Allowing creation of special talkgroups in advance in the event of severe weather or civil disturbances Emergency Call/Alarm By pressing the emergency button, callers will be granted a voice channel on an immediate basis Telephone Interconnect MTC 3600 uses telephone interconnect options to allow subscribers to initiate or receive telephone calk from landline telephones.
