Subject: Assignment of the Uniforms (Citywide) Bid Contract No. 04-05-081
Purpose of Item:
The purpose of this item is to respectfully recommend for the Miami City Commission to authorize
the assignment of the Uniforms, Citywide, Bid Contract No. 04-05-081, from Jules Brothers
Uniforms, Inc. to Fechheimer Brothers Company d/b/a Harrison Uniforms of Miami, a local
vendor/supplier, located at 120 N.W. 25 Street, Miami, FL 33127.
Background Information:
The Purchasing Department received notice from Fechheimer Brothers Company d/b/a Harrison
Uniforms of Miami indicating their recent acquisition of Jules Brothers Uniforms, Inc. who currently
has a contract with the City of Miami to provide uniforms for those City Departments requiring its
employees to wear uniforms. Accordingly, an assignment of the contract is being requested pursuant
to Section 1.6, Assignment, of Bid Contract No. 04-05-081. Fechheimer Brothers Company d/b/a
Harrison Uniforms of Miami has also submitted the contractually required Performance Bond in the
amount of $130,000.
