A. Indicate the types of operations that will occupy the site using
appropriate Division and two -digit Standard Industrial
Classifications.
The predominant type of industrial operations expected in the DDRI is
classified as Division I: Service: Major Group 73: Business Services
in the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) system. Included in this
classification would be telecommunications and computer networking
services. These services would operate as a part of a
telecommunications and computer network hub that would serve the
downtown area and surrounding region. Such a hub would be similar to
the Network Access Point (NAP) Center in the Southeast Overtown /
Parkwest DRI.
All other industrial operations would also be classified as Division I:
Service: Major Group 73: Business Services.
B. What supplier and other supporting industry are required within the
region by the proposed development? Estimate to what degree
these linkages will require the location in the region of supporting
industrial and commercial activity.
The development program for the DDRI would require the typical supplies
and support services expected from office, residential, and retail uses.
These supply and support services would necessitate location in or DDRI
area depending on the exact nature of their service. No particular
industry, and no heavy industry, is required to support the DDRI
development program.
C. Will the proposed operations require the expansion of any
transportation systems and facilities in the region (rail, truck
terminals, etc.)?
The industrial facilities expected to develop inside the DDRI boundary
(telecommunications and computer network hubs) will not create
significant demand on transportation systems because they do not
require many employees or the transportation of significant materials.
Therefore, these developments will not require an expansion of any
transportation systems in the region.

D. How many shifts per day are expected and what will be the average
number of employees per shift? Specify approximate hours of shift.
Will this vary through the project life?
The number of employees and shifts per day will be dependent upon the
specific attributes of the projects that develop within the DDRI. Therefore,
that information is unavailable at this time.
