Grant Agreement between Liberty City Trust and Veterans
Employment Transition Services, Inc.

It is respectfully requested that the City Commission approve the attached Grant
Agreement between the Liberty City Community Revitalization Trust and
Veterans Employment Transition Services, Inc. This Grant awards to VETS the
amount of $25,000 which is to be used for job recruiting and placement for the
residents of the Liberty/Model City area.
As you know, the Ordinance that created the Liberty City Trust required that any
and all contracts above $5,000.00 shall require City Commission approval.
Further, the Liberty City Trust shall develop and execute a plan to create jobs,
attract industry and facilitate the production of goods and services in the Area
for residents and non-residents. Jobs for residents are a key component of
economic development in Liberty City. The Liberty City Trust is committed to
the provision of full employment for its residents and for that reason, to address
the pressing issue of unemployment in our area we are collaboratively
partnering with Veterans Employment Transition to deliver such service.
The Liberty City Trust Board of Directors approved entering into this Grant
Agreement with Veterans Employment Transition Services, Inc. at its' Board
meeting of April 30, 2007.
