Purpose of Item: To accept the recommendation of the City Manager to approve the findings and rankings of the Evaluation Committee, pursuant to RFQ 06-07-010, issued in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055, and Section 18-87 and of the Code of. the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, to secure qualified outside consultants to provide architectural and landscape architectural services and to authorize the City Manager to negotiate a contract with the three top ranked firms. Background Information: On 4/18/07, the City issued a RFQ to select providers of Architectural and Landscape Architectural Services for miscellaneous projects throughout the City: Thirteen (13) submittals were received by the 5/22/07 deadline and the Evaluation Committee ranked five 5 firms. The top three (3) are requested to enter into negotiations. The Committee ranked the firms in the following order: (1) Zyscovich, Inc. (2) Asterino, and (3) Wolfberg Alvarez & Partners. The Committee recommends and the City Manager agrees that the City should begin negotiations with the three top ranked firms. Should negotiations fail with the highest ranked firm, the City Manager will negotiate a contract with the second ranked firm. Upon completion of negotiations, the Department will return to the City Commission to request approval for the City Manager to execute the necessary agreements.
