HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 07-00130A Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION CODESIGNATING SOUTHWEST 38TH COURT FROM FLAGLER STREET TO SOUTHWEST 3RD STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS "MAJOR GENERAL CALIXTO GARCIA-INIGUEZ WAY;" FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO TRANSMIT A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE HEREIN DESIGNATED OFFICES. WHEREAS, pursuant to the City Commission directive, the Miami Street Codesignation Review Committee, at its meeting of June 11, 2007, reviewed and recommended the proposal for street codesignation of Southwest 38th Court from Flagler Street to Southwest 3rd Street, Miami, Florida, as "Major General Calixto Garcia-Iniguez Way;" NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Southwest 38th Court from Flagler Street to Southwest 3rd Street, Miami, Florida, is codesignated as "Major General Calixto Garcia-Iniguez Way." Section 3. The City Manager is directed to instruct the Director of Public Works to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Departments of Police, Fire -Rescue, Solid Waste, Miami -Dade County Public Works and the United States Postal Service. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESSe" Ak ,JORGE RNANDEZ_ CITY AT O'NEY Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
