HomeMy WebLinkAboutlegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.cam File Number: 07-00759 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ESTABLISHING A NEW SPECIAL REVENUE FUND ENTITLED: "THE CHILDREN'S TRUST UNITED FOR PEACE GRANT," AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $262,500, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION'S UNITED FOR PEACE SCHOOL YEAR RECREATION, YOUTH VIOLENCE INTERVENTION AND PREVENTION PROGRAM AT VIRRICK PARK, CONSISTING OF A GRANT FROM THE CHILDREN'S TRUST, AND IN- KIND SERVICES, IN THE AMOUNT OF $19,743,75, FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH; AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF CITY OF MIAMI IN -KIND SERVICES, IN THE AMOUNT OF $316,479.45; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER. 10 EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO IMPLEMENT THE ACCEPTANCE OF SAID GRANT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The following new Special Revenue Fund is established and resources are appropriated as described below: FUND TITLE: THE CHILDREN'S TRUST UNITED FOR PEACE GRANT RESOURCES: THE CHILDREN'S TRUST $ 262,500,00 CITY OF MIAMI - MATCHING FUNDS $ 316,479.45 STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH $ 19,743.75 APPRUPRIA i ION: THE CHILDREN'S TRUST GRANT $ 59.8,723.20 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the necessary documents to implement the acceptance of said grant. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor. {2} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JORGE'pL.
