Purpose of Item:
The nature of this item is to establish a contract for Boat Engine Maintenance and Repair Services, on
an as needed basis, from Southeast Marine Center, Inc., for a period of one (1) year with options to
renew for four (4) additional one-year periods, allocating funds from the various sources, subject to
the availability of funds and budgetary approval at time of need.
Background Information:
The Purchasing Department has identified a need to establish a city-wide contract for Boat Engine
Maintenance and Repair Services. On March 19, 2007, the Purchasing Department issued Invitation
to Bid No.22006. As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued on-line.
Southeast Marine Center, Inc. submitted the Iowest responsive and responsible bid and is therefore
recommended for award.
