Subject: Agreement with Florida International University
Purpose of Item:
A Resolution of the City of Miami Commission, authorizing the City Manager to execute an
agreement, in substantially the attached form, with Florida International University, a Florida public
body corporate, for the hosting of the 2007 Florida International University Football Season to be held
September 8, October 6, November 17, 24 and December 1, 2007 at the Orange Bowl Stadium, with a
maximum basic use fee of $5,000 per event day; providing for the organizers to pay all necessary
costs of City services and applicable fees associated with said event; with terms and conditions as
more particularly set forth in the agreement. .

Suljtct: Agreement with Florida International University
Background Information:
Florida International University is staging the 2007 home football games at the Miami Orange Bowl.
This is the first time that Florida International University will be utilizing the Orange Bowl Stadium for
their home games while their existing facilities are being renovated, and sharing the Orange Bowl
Stadium playing field with the University of Miami, They shall continue to pay all other necessary costs
of City services and applicable fees associated with the event. The City expects the net revenues to the
City to be in excess of $120,000 which includes revenues from the Use Fee, ticket surcharge,
concessions and parking.
