A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF 33RD PROGRAM YEAR COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,265,833, TO
THE AGENCIES SPECIFIED IN "ATTACHMENT A," ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED, FOR PUBLIC SERVICES ACTIVITIES IN THE 33RD PROGRAM
YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2007; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE AGREEMENT(S), IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM(S), WITH
SAID AGENCIES, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2005, a Request for Proposal was issued for agencies to provide
public service activities for a one-year period with the option to extend such contract for an additional
year, which would be contingent on the availability of funds, and the agency having met their
contractual obligations; and
WHEREAS, due to decrease of available funds, all Public Service agencies' allocations have
been reduced by 19.2471 % percent; and
WHEREAS, the following agencies will not be recommended for funding due to the herein listed
reasons:
Galata, Inc. - 32nd year funding has not been spent
De Hostos Senior Center, Inc. - audit issues
Progressive Vision Community Development Corporation, Inc. - 32nd year funding has not been
spent; and
WHEREAS, the Administration has proposed allocations as listed on "Attachment A," attached
and incorporated, for the 33rd Program Year Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funding
related to the Public Services category;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this section.
Section 2. The allocation of 33rd Program Year CDBG funds, in the amount of $1,265,833, to the
agencies specified in "Attachment A," attached and incorporated, for Public Services activities in the
33rd Program Year beginning October 1, 2007, is authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to executeAgreement(s), in substantially the
attached form(s), with said agencies, for said purpose.

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}
Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
