and Martinez, have signed on in support of increasing CDBG funding to $4.1 billion.
As the Co -Chair along with Chairman Gonzalez of the "Save CDBG" task force that we
put together in 2005 when this program faced :he risk of elimination, I want to put us on
the record in support of a resolution that our Mayor has co -sponsored at the U.S.
Conference of Mayors, and adopt as our own this resolution urging Congress to fund the
CDBG program at $4.1 billion for Fiscal Year 08 and it calls on Congress for the further
doubling of formula funding to CDBG to at least $8 billion in the future.
