PUR 7778 (02/04) Page 1 of 2 60A-1.010, F.A.C. The purpose of this equipment is to quickly assist investigative casework. The Harris equipment is by far (tested through hands on trials) more user friendly and requires less personnel resource to operate. This is particularly important when time is of the essence in recovering a missing child. FDLE knows from statistics that within 1 hour, over half of all abducted children are killed. The Agency's equipment should not be so cumbersome that we cannot quickly be up and running in an effort to recover the child alive. Harris Wireless Products Group is the only source for the StingRay, KingFish, StingRay/KingFish GSM and the S/W upgrade. Harris is the exclusive vendor for the items identified to meet FDLE Standards.
