Harris Government Communications Systems Division, via its Wireless Products Group (WPG) in Melbourne, FL, offers a
comprehensive fine of cellular intercept, interrogation and exploitation equipment for exclusive utilization by Government and
Law Enforcement Agencies. Harris WPG developed and owns the designs, but does sub -contract the electronic board
assemblies, the functional testing of those assemblies, and the integration into the final equipment chassis. Harris WPG adds
application specific S/W and conducts final testing on these chassis prior to shipping to the end -customer.
The StingRay system is the only transportable CDMA & GSM Active Interrogation, Direction Finding (DF), and Signal
Information Collection system being offered. StingRay is compatible with CDMA commercial standards IS-95A, IS-95-B,
TSB74, and J-STD-008 in the 800M1-1z and 1900MHz bands. The StingRay GSM S/W upgrade allows operation against the
GSM standard in the CONUS 800MHz and 1900MHz bands (as well as the OCONUS 900MHz E-GSM and DCS 1800MHz
bands). StingRay can be powered via standard automotive 12V DC or standard 1 l OVAC. When interfaced with the optional
Harris AmberJack-X DF Antenna and the Harris ]OW Power Amp Kit, the StingRay can perform vehicular -based DF
operations to track a targeted cell phone, and also locate a targeted CDMA or GSM cellular base station. The Tarpon S/W offers
a mapping capability which provides real time Geotocation of the cellular target on a local map. In addition to Interrogation and DF,
the StingRay system also supports the passive collection and real-time searching of mobile electronic ID numbers, as well as
dialed numbers. The transportability and vehicular power features of the Harris StingRay product are also unique for tactical
mission needs.
The StingRay and GSM S/W upgrade are delivered with all of the accessories required to perform interrogation and passive
collection technical investigations on the CDMA and GSM cellular formats. However, it is necessary to purchase separately
the Harris AmberJack-X DF antenna, the Tarpon S/W, and the 10W Power Amp (PA) Kit to support tracking and location
operations with the StingRay system. Harris also sells training on the use of the StingRay and its accessories. Training
sessions are 2 days per class with a maximum class size of 4 students. One training class is required per product, and per
cellular protocol.
Harris WPG is your only source for the StingRay, StingRay GSM S/W upgrade, IOW Power Amp Kit, AmberJack-X and
associated training.
