Thompson City Clerk Date: April 12, 2007 Subject: Downtown Development Authority References: May 10, 2007Agenda Enclosures: List of members The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board was created to exercise supervisory control over the activities of the director and the staff of the Downtown Development Authority. Twelve (of the fifteen) members of the DDA shall be appointed by the current board of directors of the DDA and submitted to the City Commission for confirmation. One member may be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners of Dade County and submitted to the City Commission for confirmation. One member may be appointed by the Cabinet of the State and submitted to the City Commission for confirmation. One appointment is currently needed for term which will expire on August 31, 2009. • The Commission At -Large is being requested to confirm the appointment of the following member, appointed by the current board of directors of the DDA: 1. Audrey M. Edmonson, Miami -Dade County Commissioner and nominated for appointment by the Miami Dade County Board of County Commissioners. Commissioner Edmonson replaces Commissioner Bruno Barreiro, who resigned from the DDA. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the May 10, 2007 Commission agenda.
