HomeMy WebLinkAboutPre-LegislationJ-96-528 6/27/96 RESOLUTION NO.J 6 - 551 A RESOLUTION, ALLOCATING $1,032,200 OF TWENTY SECOND (22ND) YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TWO (2) PREVIOUSLY APPROVED MOUSING PROJECTS AND FIVE (6) PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PUBLIC FACILITIES AND IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, BY AGENCIES AS HEREIN SPECIFIED; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE INDIVIDUAL AGREEMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH SAID AGENCIES FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF SAID PROJECTS. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 96-208 at its meeting of March 23, 1996, which authorized the City Manager to submit the City of Miami's proposed 1996 Consolidated Plan to the U,S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and WHEREAS, the Consolidated Plan included an Action Plan which included specific funding recommendations for the City of Miami's Community Development Block Grant Program which included an allocation of $1,032,200 for the provision of two (2) housing and five i5) public facilities and improvement projects; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: CITY COVINIsa1ON MEEYI.NC or An l 2 5 1996 Rfaoluiloa NM, 9R— �5i Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The amount of $1,032,200 of Twenty Second (22nd) Year Community Development Block Grant Funds are hereby allocated to the following Agencies: 22ND YEAR C,D. AGENCY/PROJECT ALLOCATION Association for the Development of the Exceptional $ 47,800 ADE Kitchen Training Facility Black Archives History and Research Foundation of South Florida, Inc. Lyric Theater Catholic Community Services, Inc. San Juan Day Care Greater Miami Youth Services Corps, inc. Childcare Renovation Greater Miami Youth Services Corps, Inc. Public Improvements Jewish Family Services, Inc. Senior Crime Prevention end Victim's Assistance Tri-City Community Association, Inc. Home Improvement Project TOTAL C.D. The City Manager is hereby authorized!-' to execute individual agreements, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, with the aforementioned Agencies to implement their respective protects.
