Glencoe St., Miami), and the Glencoe Neighborhood Association wanted to meet with the Related Group to discuss their concerns with the proposed "Grove Bay" construction project. It was hoped the Related Group would appreciate the opportunity to explore a cooperative approach toward addressing their conflicting interests before these issues had to be presented in any public forum. This letter will confirm that the Related Group has declined to meet with and discuss these issues with Mr. Bloch or the Glencoe Neighborhood Association. Mr. Bloch and the Glencoe Neighborhood Association are disappointed with the Related Group's decision, and will instead present their concerns to the City of Miami Commission, as you had suggested. (Mr. Bloch is not part of the condo board, and is not involved with any other discussions between the board and Related, if there have been any.) He, like other attendees, was permitted to ask limited questions of the presenters, and did so of both sides; however, the time was limited and not all matters were addressed. One question concerned traffic statistics that The Related Group has cited. One of The Related Groups representatives, Alicia Cuervo, offered to provide the traffic study to Mr. Bloch, and he accepted. After a few days when the report had not arrived, Mr. Bloch emailed Ms. Cuervo to inquire as to the status. She offered to drop it off at his front porch, and he accepted. There have been no other meetings or communications between Mr. Bloch and the Related Group. Mr. Bloch was encouraged when another Related Group representative, Bill Thompson, acknowledged the direct impact the project would have on the residents of Glencoe and his willingness to meet with those affected to come up with solutions. In was in this spirit, and after Mr. Bloch had further developed an understanding of the project, that he asked me to approach you to find out if The Related Group would meet to discuss his concerns. It was then that The Related Group declined to meet with Mr. Bloch and the Glencoe Neighborhood Association.
