A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A REVOCABLE LICENSE
AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT"), REVOCABLE AT -WILL, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE
ATTACHED FORM, WITH SOUTHWEST SOCIAL SERVICES PROGRAM, INC., A
NON-PROFIT CORPORATION ("LICENSEE"), FOR THE USE OF APPROXIMATELY
20,719 SQUARE FEET OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN
FLAGAMI PARK (THE "PREMISES") LOCATED AT 25 TAMIAMI BOULEVARD,
MIAMI, FLORIDA, TO OPERATE AN ELDERLY MEALS FACILITY AND TO PROVIDE
EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE ELDERLY, WHICH
SAID AGREEMENT SHALL PROVIDE FOR AN ANNUAL USE FEE OF $1.00, AND A
TEN-YEAR USE PERIOD TO COMMENCE ON JANUARY 12, 2007, WITH OTHER
TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS MORE PARTICULARLY SET FORTH IN SAID
AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") is the owner of real property located at 25 Tamiami
Boulevard, Miami, Florida, also known as Flagami Park ("Property"); and
WHEREAS, the City granted Southwest Social Services Program, Inc., a non-profit corporation
("Licensee") a twenty-year revocable permit in 1987 which expired January 11, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 93-123 on February 25, 1993, which
authorized the City Manager to expand the use area of the Property to include the use of 20,719
square feet ("Premises"); and
WHEREAS, the Licensee provides meals as well as educational and recreational services to the
elderly population in the Flagami area of Miami and Miami -Dade County; and
WHEREAS, the Licensee has requested the continued use of the Premises to administer its
elderly programs and administration service space in connection with their elderly services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute a Revocable License Agreement
("Agreement"), revocable at -will, in substantially the attached form, with the Licensee, for the use of
the Premises, to operate an elderly meals facility and to provide educational and recreational
activities for the elderly, which said Agreement shall provide for an annual use fee of $1.00, and a
ten-year use period to commence on January 12, 2007, with other terms and conditions as more
particularly set forth in said Agreement.

Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}
Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
