Subject: Agreement with Soccer United Marketing, LLC
Background Information:
Soccer United Marketing is staging the 2007 Gold Cup in June, 2007 at the Miami Orange Bowl.
Similar to previous times the event was staged at the Orange Bowl, they are requesting that the basic use
fee be capped at $5,000 versus 10% of gross ticket sales. They shall continue to pay all other necessary
costs of City services and applicable fees associated with the event. The City expects the net revenues
to the City to be in excess of $150,000 which includes revenues from the Use Fee, ticket surcharge,
concessions and parking. Additionally, the event is expected to provide a positive economic impact to
the community as a result of international travel, hotel occupancy, restaurants and commerce.
