This award will provide funding for Gang Resistance Education and Training to 690 elementary and middle school children in Little Haiti. Background Information: A recent award application submitted by Communities in Schools of Miami was approved for funding by The Children's Trust to sponsor a Violence Intervention Project. This poject was designed, among other things, to provide Gang Resistance Education and Training to elementary and middle school youth in Little Haiti. Communities in Schools of Miami has aportioned $43,500.00 of the award to the City of Miami Police Department to serve as the contractor responsible for delivering these services.
