Thompson City Clerk Date: February 9, 2007 Subject: Code Enforcement Board References: March 8, 2007 Agenda Enclosures: List of members The Code Enforcement Board was created to issue orders having the force of law commanding whatever steps are necessary to bring a Code violation into compliance. Florida Statutes Section 162.05(2) requires members of the Code Enforcement Board to be residents of the City of Miami. City Code Section 2-812 states that whenever possible, the board is to consist of an architect, a businessperson, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor, and a realtor. Two (2) appointments are needed at this time: • Vice Chairman Sanchez has one (1) nomination for a regular seat held by Michael Wallman, incumbent, whose term expired on February 12, 2007. • Commission -at -Large has one (1) nomination for a vacant alternate member seat previously held by Mike Suarez, who resigned. For your convenience, we have included a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the March 8, 2007 Commission agenda. * This matter was deferred from the December 14, 2006 and February 8, 2007 Commission meeting.
