The property is currently developed with a church and a pastor's residence. The purpose of this application is to request a Special Exception to allow a proposed addition to the church and an expansion of the surface parking area onto adjacent land owned by the church. The modification to the existing church is necessary in order to meet the growing needs of the congregation, The requested Special Exception is compatible with the surrounding area since the proposed addition is located on the lots with frontage onto Flagler Street and the additional parking area is well buffered from the abutting residential homes by new landscaping.
