Landscaping and Maintenance, MLK Blvd. and 1-95 Ramps at MLK Blvd.
Dear Mr. Hicks:
Black Reflections, Inc. is pleased to submit the following proposal for landscaping and
maintenance of the six areas specified in your December 28, 2006 Request for Written Estimate.
As specified on the following detailed bid responses, we will prepare the sites for planting, plant
the specified materials (substituted similar plants may be required depending on availability of the
specified materials), water -in all materials, provide a one-year warranty on all plant materials,
provide on -going maintenance for one year, and submit monthly status photographs following
installation for the balance of the one-year period.
The installation will be completed by January 12, 2007; the maintenance period will begin
February 10, 2007 and end Fehr! .ry 9, 2308. Black Reflections will snb*nii meritHy in,'oiees znd
photos for the maintenance period, and a lump -sum invoice for the installation portions of the
project.
The attached bid responses contain our price for the requested work.

LANDSCAPING
Item 1: For furnishing all labor, materials and equipment to install the following plant materials in Area #1:
500 Mexican Bluebells, 3-gallon size, at each ramp
5 Bougainvillea, 15-gallon size, at each ramp
200 Alamander, 3-gallon size, at each ramp
200 Plumbago, 3-gallon size, at each ramp
300 Silver Buttonwood, 5-gallon size, at each ramp
Note: Substitution of similar plant material may be required if specified plants are not immediately .available.
Bid price: Twenty-one Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and no cents ($21,500.00)
Item 2: For furnishing all labor, materials and equipment to install the following plant materials in Area 42:
300 Mexican Bluebells, 3-gallon size
200 Alamander, 3-gallon size
200 Plumbago, 3-gallon size
Note: Substitution of similar plant material may be required if specified plants are not immediately available.
Bid price: Three Thousand Dollars and no cents (S3,000.00)
Item 3: For furnishing all labor, materials and equipment to weed, prune and manicure the existing plant
materials in Area #3:
Bid price: Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and no cents ($3,500.00)
MAINTENANCE
item 4: For furnishing all labor, materials and equipment to maintain Area #1, including at a minimum the
following activities with the stated frequencies:
Remove weeds 1 x/month
Remove litter 3x/week
Fertilize 2x/year
Mulch 3x/year (City of Miami provides mulch)
Prune as needed
Remove dead plant material as needed
Rernove plant material that is not thriving as needed
Relocate plants as needed
Replant as needed to maintain appearance of Area
Enhance soil with new topsoil as needed
Water as needed
Bid price: Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-nine Dollars and no cents ($9,999.00) at the rate of
$909,00 per month for 11 months.

following activities with the stated frequencies:

Fertilize 2x/year

Relocate plants as needed

month for 11 months.
