MAIL -RETURN RECEIPT REOUESTED Mr. Paul Bannerman Bannerman Landscaping, Inc. 6600 NW 27th Avenue Miami, FL 33247 Re: City of Miami Bid #05-06-016 Dear Mr. Bannerman: You were awarded the above bid and began the job on April 4, 2006. The bid called for you to complete the project within sixty (60) days, i.e. on June 2, 2006. On April 21, 2006, Mr. Glenn Marcos, Purchasing Director for the City of Miami, informed you that you were behind on the project and warned you about defaulting under the contract. As of this date, four months later, the job is not finished. Prior to you starting the job, my son and I visited you at your office where you advised us that you had sufficient personnel and equipment to perform the job in a timely fashion. The first day you started, 1 asked you for a work schedule so that we could coordinate with you in cleaning up. I advised all my employees to assist you in any way possible to help you in performing your work. We continually asked you for a work schedule so as to enable us to work better with you. When asked, you said you would bring it the next day. To date, we have not received this schedule. My maintenance staff has spent countless hours in doing work you were suppose to do and in assisting your few employees in cleaning up the golf course. It has cost me thousands of dollars from our maintenance budget in trying to help you perform your contractual obligations to the City. You have totally disregarded your obligations under the contract and you have conducted yourself unprofessionally. Your few employees either don't show up or come late in the afternoon when our workday is done. You make promises that aren't kept. Your promises and word means nothing - you have a total lack of candor and veracity and seem reluctant to finish the job. /Mei2 07 Mr. Paul Bannerman August 4, 2006 Page 2 Your compliance and cavalier attitude will no longer be tolerated. Your continuing misleading and lying to us will also not be tolerated. The sixty (60) day job, exclusive of rain days, has now extended to over 120 days. i must get back to operating on a normal business and maintenance schedule. Therefore, unless this job is finished by Friday, August 11, 2006, by 5:00 p.m., to my satisfaction, you no longer will be permitted on the property. PLEASE BE GOVERNED ACCORDINGLY.4 Singdiy Charles D - ucca cc: Raul Garcia / Glenn Marcos,/
