Subject: Rental of Trucks and Heavy Equipment -Citywide
Purpose of Item:
The nature of item is to piggyback the contract from the Southeast Florida Governmental Purchasing
Cooperative, Bid Number F-4038-06-WG, sponsored by the City of Hollywood, Florida, for the
provision of Rental of Trucks and Heavy Equipment -Citywide, on an as needed basis, with various
suppliers, for a contractual period of one (1) year with an option to renew for one (1) additional one-
year period, subject to any further extensions or replacement contracts by said agency/ies, pursuant to
the bid prices, terms, and conditions of the Bid Contract. Allocating funds from the various sources
of funds from the user departments and agencies, authorizing said purchases, as needed, subject to
availability of funds and budgetary approval at time of need.
Background Information:
The City Miami Departments need the establishment of a rental of trucks and heavy equipment
contracts to provide various services such as removing earth, transporting and lifting heavy
equipment, dumping trash, debris, and rubbish, in response to carrying out normal every day services
or emergency services.
