Subject: Resolution awarding a contract to Condo Electric Motor Repair, Corp. in the amount of
$229,400 for "Stormwater Pump Station Maintenance and Repair Project, B-30395"
Purpose of Item:
Award a contract to Condo Electric Motor Repair, Corp., a company located within the City of Miami
with offices at 3615 East 10th Court, Hialeah, Florida 33013, whose principal is Mr. Hector A.
Gomez, President, for the project entitled "Stormwater Pump Station Maintenance and Repair Project,
B-30395", in the amount of $229,400 Base Bid.
Background Information:
On Nov. 14, 2006, the Public Works Department received formal bids to maintain and repair the 5 stormwater
pump stations. A total of seven (7) prospective bidders picked up specs and one (1) contractor submitted a bid.
Condo Electric Motor Repair, Corp. submitted the lowest responsible and responsive bid in the amount of
$229,400. Funds are allocated from P. W. General Account No. 001000.311003.6.340, in the amount of
$229,400 to cover the Base Bid contract costs with option to renew based on the availability of annual funding
and contractor's performance for four (4) additional one year periods. This Base Bid also allows for Additive
Items to be included as part of the maintenance contract for additional repairs and maintenance to five proposed
pump stations in an amount not to exceed $380,737. pending need, funding availability, and contractor's
performance.
