PLEASE ALL TAKE NOTICE THAT an attorney -client meeting of
the City of Miami Commission has been scheduled for Thursday,
October 25, 2007, at the City of Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan
American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133. The meeting has been
called for purposes of conducting a private attorney -client session
under the parameters of F.S. §286.011(8) [2006]. The person chair-
ing the regular City of Miami Commission meeting will announce
the commencement of this attorney -client session, closed to the pub-
lic, for purposes of discussing the pending litigation case of Fraternal
Order of Police, Lodge 20 and Alfredo Vega, Plaintiffs and Frederica
Burden, et al, Intervenors v. City of Miami, etc., Case No. 98-7760
CA 27, pending in the Circuit Court of the l lth Judicial Circuit, in
and for Miami -Dade County, Florida, to which the City is presently
a party. This private meeting will begin at approximately 2:30 p.m.
and conclude at approximately 3:30 p.m. The session will be attend-
ed by the members of the City Commission: Angel Gonzalez, Marc
Sarnoff, Tomas Regalado, Joe Sanchez, and Michelle Spence -Jones,
the City Manager, Pedro G. Hernandez; the City Attorney, Jorge L.
Fernandez; Assistant City Attorney Mimi V. Turin and Assistant City
Attorney Kevin R. Jones. A certified court reporter will be present
to ensure that the session is fully transcribed and the•transcript will
be made public upon the conclusion of the above -cited, ongoing lit-
igation. At the conclusion of the attorney -client session, the regular
Commission meeting will be reopened and the person chairing the
Commission meeting will announce the termination of the attorney-
client session.
