HomeMy WebLinkAboutSummary Fact Sheet FRPOLICE AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FACT SHEET JUSTIFICATION: An Ordinance amending the "Bay Heights Roving Security Guard Special Taxing District" to increase off -duty police roving patrol services from sixteen (16) hours to twenty-four (24) hours per day for the Bay Heights Neighborhood; further authorizing the City Manager to enter into a new Inter -local Agreement. HOW IS THIS ITEM GOING TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER / CITIZENS? An amending petition submitted by the Bay Heights Community requesting an increase was validated and found to meet the Miami -Dade County Code requirement; that at least fifty percent (50%) of the resident property owners sign in favor of the amendment. FUNDING SOURCE: COMMENTS: N/A TOTAL EXPENDITURE: N/A The City Manager is authorized to enter into a new Inter -Local Agreement, whereby, Miami - Dade County agrees, upon execution of the Agreement, that the City retain a security deposit of Nineteen Thousand Seven Hundred Sixteen Dollars ($19,716) to ensure a minimum of four weeks of service at One Hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours of service per week.
