The Equal Opportunity Advisory Board was created to review and recommend to the City Commission
the adoption of amendments/revisions to the City's affirmative action plan. The board also reviews
employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to the Department of Human
Resources.
Two (2) appointments are required at this time:
• Chairman Gonzalez has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by:
1. Vacancy (due to the resignation of Albena Sumner).
• Commissioner Spence -Jones has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by:
1. Vacancy (due to the resignation of Charles Cutler).*
For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By
copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the
December 14, 2006 Commission agenda. *This matter was deferred from the November 3, 2005,
December 15, 2005, February 9, 2006, April 6, 2006, May 11, 2006, July 13, 2006, September
12, 2006 and October 12, 2006 Commission meetings.
