Directo City Manager Paae I of 2 SUPPLEMENTAL SHEET Subject: Resolution Granting an Easement to Miami -Dade County Water and Sewer Department on Watson Island Background Information: On October 12, 2006, the City Commission approved the plat for the southwest side of Watson Island, Resolution No. 06-0608 entitled "Watson Island Southwest". As part of the platting requirements an easement must be provided for each of the existing utilities. Miami -Dade County Water and Sewer Department ("WASD") has requested the grant of approximately fifty-one (51) foot wide strip by approximately two thousand seven hundred forty five (2,745) feet running east/west the entire length of the south side of the Watson Island utility easement on City -owned property for the construction, operation and maintenance of water facilities in connection with the development on Watson Island. This easement will be used for the construction, operation, and maintenance of water facilities with the right to reconstruct, improve, and change and remove all or any of the facilities within the easement. This easement shall further contain a reverter provision that if the easement is abandoned or discontinued, the easement shall cease and revert back to the City. Paee 2 of 2
