The Community Science Workshops
mission is to "Expand Knowledge,
Thinking, and Imagination with Tools
of Discovery and Things to Discover."
It creates a safe, informal, and fun
space for kids to learn through hands-
on activities. Outside the pressures of
the formal classroom, students are
free to explore and discover the
wonders of the natural world in their
own community. The Community
Science Workshop is part science
center, part woodshop, and part
nature center in the heart of Miami. It
also offers formal experiential science
curriculum during school hours
designed to compliment classroom
lessons.
