e build strong kids, strong families, strong communities.
The YMCA of Greater Miami would like
to welcome back the students, parents,
and collaborators for the 2005-2006
school year. We are proud to announce
our second year of being affiliated with
the Miami Learning Zone. The YMCA's
involvement with the MLZ's program
last year proved to be a period of
growth and development. We have
taken those experiences and devised
a plan that will allow us to make
consistent improvements this year.
The YMCA has
assembled a great group
of staff for the
upcoming year. Our
counselors are looking forward to
working and experiencing educational
development with the children. We
will be monitoring the children's
development through the use of the
following measurement tools; Spark
(physical fitness), Peace Education
(social skills), and Nutrition. Every
improvement no matter how big or
small will be vital to the
success of our children,
community and program.
