Purpose of Item: To accept the donation of fifteen (15) Automatic External Defibrillators (AED's) from Cardiac Science. Background Information: Cardiac Science Corporation is the exclusive partner of the City of Miami Department of Fire - Rescue's "Team for Life" PAD Program in its mission to save lives in the greater Miami area. Cardiac Science is donating fifteen (15) AED's (Model #9300E-501) to the City of Miami Fire - Rescue Department in the hopes that one of these devices could potentially be used to save a life. As you know, sudden Cardiac Arrest is the leading cause of death in the United States, however, through partnerships between private companies and public organizations lives will be saved and awareness for training will be created.
