HomeMy WebLinkAboutExhibit 6TAB2 a) MetalCraft Marine has been in business since 1978. We entered the Government Service vessel business in 1989. We were the builders of the Canadian Coast Guard's 47' Motor Life Boat program, which is the same self-righting boat used by the USCG built by Textron -Bell. This project started in 1999. This craft is considered to be the most complex small high speed rescue boat ever built. WE built 7 boats for a total contract value of $14,200 M. b) Directors are; Tom Wroe, President Lyman Smith, Vice President Bill Connors, shareholder Owners are; Tom Wroe, Employee Bob Clikrk,...Employee... Monty Srnith; Legal Advisor. ..... Bill Connors, Shareholder & Advisor Ron Peddle, Employee c) The company is a small high quality builder/designer. Sales were $5.8M last year and will be over $6M this year. We have 60 employees. We have included the resumes of the main supervisory personnel working on this project. Jay Milner will be the Project Manager. MetalCraft begins all projects with a project kickoff meeting to disseminate the details of the specification followed by a weight survey and verification of LCG. Areas that need further review or clarifications are identified prior to commencement. All parts are pre -drawn then laser or waterjet cut by our suppliers. We use the different scheduled inspection meetings to preplan the next stages of work in unison with the customer representative. Our outfit and finish is above average. We highly suggest testing of one of our existing boats. d) We have included in this section our last five years projects lists and reference lists. (Note: Found under Trade Secrets Exception) We are currently building three 50' Fireboats, two of our design and one joint design project. All of these boats utilize the same proven hull platform. The boat for Seattle FD is the first CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological & Nuclear Explosive) boat ever built with a pressurized cabin and complete CBRNE 'ventilation system and airtight decon showers. This boat is $1.299M. The other two Firestorm 50's are for Miami -Dade FD and Jacksonville FD they are $1.1M and $1.040M respectively. Their contact information is included in our references. Our other builds underway, are a Firestorm 36 for Annapolis MD, a Firestorm 30 for Portsmouth NH, a Firebrand 28 for Dartmouth MA, a Firebrand 28 for Greenwood MN, a Kingston 25 pump out boat for Annapolis and a 26' Allsafe RIB for State of NI1. Based on our past performance and information included here you will find that MCM has more experience with mid size high speed fireboats than any of our competitors. We believe that with negotiations, we have the engineering ability and background to bring this boat within your budget confines without threatening the intent of the specification. We would do this with sensible changes that would reduce gear and equipment, lighten the vessel to improve performance, improve and simplify systems from an operations standpoint and a maintenance standpoint. As builders we have done this for years. To further reduce costs we would offer the MFD the option to supply the power plants and other gear to reduce costs and margin burden. If you ask our references you will find that we can shoehorn a boat into a budget it is one of our skills and important qualifications. e) MCM has two building sheds of 4500 Sq Ft each and a 208' drydock. You can note our additional facilities and equipment in our Company Profile included. uict "Lou 41.444.4auy 1\11V YY 14,,1 1414,11 twu Mai N. 1i1111 4.111141.t 1.401.1011d4. When there is a warranty issue, we ask that the claim form be filled out after or before a diagnosis has been completed but prior to a warranty claim being approved. Establishing what is and what is not warranty work is sometimes difficult. In major components we act as a facilitator between the customer and the individual OEM. All warranties are subject to the individual terms& conditions of the equipment OEM. This is standard in ours and many other industries. Engine, jet, pump warranties are all flow through warranties to the customer. Based on our existing schedule we can.com hence constructioin September,-withdeliv' .. .. g cry in April of 2007. This is within your 270 day requirement and based on your June 8th award date. Evidence of this is in the fact that we have never had a performance bond called for non -delivery, and we have performance bonds in place for Seattle, being delivered in May/06 and Miami -Dade, being delivered in September/06. Your boat should we be successful, will start as soon as the Miami -Dade boat clears the shop floor for launch and trials, which could be as soon as August. j) There are no sub -contractors. k) This is included in our Fireboat reference listing. 1) We will provide a detailed schedule based on your agreed to inspection periods after we have been awarded the contract. Preliminary timelines are as follows; Award, June 8s', Commencement, September, Metal Complete, November, Fitout complete, Mardi, Sea trials & delivery, April. m) We recommend a pre -construction meeting with inspections of other vessels as a guide to your CR. Then after metal is 90% complete we organize the next inspection, followed by engine installation, pre or post depending on customer, then sea trials and Preliminary Acceptance. We have several ways to organize travel, its what works best for the customer. Excluding 1st class travel of course. We offer two hotels a four star Radisson on the water downtown, within walking distance to the plant or a 4 star Sheraton one block from the water downtown also. Both are near to restaurants and bars and shopping. n) We have never had any litigation over any project.
