Executive Summary & Letter of Offer for above noted watercraft. Please note, this submission contains a substantial amount of proprietary information of MetalCraft Marine. As per Chapter 119 FL Statutes, it is included separately. Dear Mr. Byrnes, We appreciate this opportunity to present an Offer to the City of Miami for a Rapid Response Watercraft, which includes labor, all material, proper and appropriate insurances, delivery to the MFD Marine Unit's designated location and training for key personnel. The proposed boat, the Firestorm 46 is a proven design that operates on the Kingston hull platform, that has been in our line since 1987. We have approximately 160 Kingston hulls in service today from 22' to 54'. We believe our unique and award winning design the Firestorm will present solutions to the MFD that cover rescue capabilities and firefighting in one piece of apparatus that would normally require 2-3 units to provide the same coverage, hence reducing maintenance and manning costs for years to come. MetalCraft Marine has more experience in high speed fireboats than any other builder in North America as our information contained herein will verify. We have included every fireboat reference for your inquiries. We have never delivered a bad boat in our history. Under the Technical Solution Section we have included information as requested, including Hamilton Jet thrust/resistance curves based on actual test results of the Portsmouth VA Firestorm-47. The required specification has more equipment included than any other Firestorm we have produced todate. We have done a preliminary weight survey and confirmed that we have more than enough Hp to meet the specified speed with an upgraded engine package. We have detailed the effects of this in our Technical Solution section. For your information MetalCraft Marine is a small high quality builder/designer of high speed aluminum, Fire, Patrol and Workboats. MetalCraft has been in operation since 1978 and was originally a sailing yacht builder. The company was the co -builder of Canada's America's Cup challenger, Canada I in 1983. In 1987 new owners shifted the company's direction into the Patrol and Workboat market. The company has been very successful in this arena and has supplied over 100 boats to the Canadian Federal Government since 1989, of which most were designed by MCM's head designer and President Tom Wroe. The company has been a regular supplier to the US Federal Government since 1994 and is the only Canadian supplier of aluminum boats with a General Services Administration contract, since 1996. The company's designs were recently selected, by both the US Coast Guard 'and US Navy for multi -year contracts, against venerable competition. We build the K-23 workboat for the Juniper Class Ice Breakers and the Kingston 32 Patrol Rib, designated, Anti -Terrorist Boat Large for the US Navy's Force Protection 'I L J51flIA.. a v ...a. v a+.. vr ..«v ... .... r.«u. ,.. ...v .....w...v r......r ... ...-j..r .,.- ... ...... ..«..
